Does NOT fit ANY 2017 or 2021 and newer models! The included primary clutch is a P90XT clutch with the same heavy-duty design that comes on the 2016-20 RZR Turbo. It does away with the failure-prone EBS design and casting flaws that the P90X clutch (which came on the Ranger) had and replaces it with a much stronger and more proven design that can handle more than double the Ranger 1000 Horsepower and still not fail. It's also a lot smoother engaging clutch on take-off and does away with all the problematic EBS setup that came stock and replaces it with a standard two-way bearing.
To swap on primary you only need the P90X puller tool to get stock one off. The new mounting bolt for our clutch and BOTH are included. This clutch will get you in the slightly higher rpm power band at 3/4 to full throttle if you want performance when using on medium to fast pace trail riding or on the road, but not increased to the point of being revved up all the time when needing to go slow or when working. Only downside at all on these type of primary's has nothing to do with function, but rather sound. They tick at idle (when under 2200 rpm) by design for the same reason the OEM RZR Turbo clicks at idle. It is because the spider moves freely in the clutch basket by design, unlike the oem clutch that it's replacing.
There are three critical areas improved on the secondary clutch compared to the problematic OEM secondary that the listed models came with. Firs, the stock main housing was weak and hard to balance. This has a reinforced lip on the main housing's outer sheave as seen in the picture, which provided us with a better place to pre-balanced the clutch, and that reinforced lip added strength to the clutch.Second is the stock setup was plagued with engine braking issues that are known to eat belts and then eventually the clutches. The fix for that is the included reduced EBS slope in the helix that provides a noticeably milder but still usable engine braking in low gear when you let off the throttle.
Last but not least, the stock machine came with some tiny tires. If or when going up in tire size it's important to add more belt grip for it not to be harder on your CVT belt with the bigger tires. This comes with a 30lb stiffer than stock spring and a steeper helix slope already in it for maximum belt grip if you did decide to put on some bigger tires (it still works well with stock tires also).
